Everything is made of hard plastic, except for the checked "blanket" which is like a handkerchief. The basket is packed pretty full with everything inside .There are many pieces and you don't want them lost!. The full basket is a little heavy for a baby.
Easy to wipe clean , it is durable, it is fun, adorable, AND VERY educational!!
